TRADING Standards officers completed a gruelling 832 press ups in half an hour to raise more than £1,000 for charity.
The mammoth feat took place at their Cheshire West and Chester Council headquarters at Backford Hall, watched by colleagues and friends.
The money will go to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
Investigations and complaints team leader Andrew Rees was joined by enforcement officer Dave Atherton and investigations lead officer Keith Fishwick.
“We found a programme to train ourselvesŠ to do a hundred press ups,” said Andrew.
“Dave’s wife is a volunteer at the hospice so it seemed a good idea to do as many press ups we could do in relay in half an hour and raise cash for the charity.
”We are really proud that we have raised so much money.”
