The Armed Forces Day Flag has been raised by the Sheriff of Chester Myles Hogg and local military representatives at Chester’s Town Hall Square, as part of a national week to honour the Armed Forces.

Cllr Hogg said: “The council is committed to supporting the men, women and families of our Armed Forces, both past and present, and I was delighted to honour them at this event.

“Their hard work, commitment and sacrifice must never be forgotten and I was extremely proud to take part.”

During this week, military personnel are being offered special discounts at West Cheshire Museums and free park and ride in Chester to honour national Armed Forces Week.
