Rehearsals for Queen’s Park High School’s production of Les Misérables are now nearing completion as the cast and crew of over 130 students work tirelessly to produce the biggest and the most incredible production ever produced on the 100-year -old school stage.
Working in partnership with the Chester Philharmonic Orchestra, the school is bracing itself for what is going to be an exceptionally high quality piece of work which gives the very talented students the opportunity to perform with a full, live orchestra, which incidentally, is bigger than the West End’s version!
Val Meeks, chairwoman of the CPO said, “Chester Philharmonic Orchestra were delighted to be asked by QPHS to provide the orchestra for the school's production of LesMisérables. Opportunities to play for a show are now very rare and the orchestra did not hesitate to say - yes please!”

The revolving stage and huge barricades are now nearing completion and along with the authentic costumes and incredible lighting design, this is a show not to be missed.
Matt Yeoman, director of learning for the visual and performing arts said, “We are very proud of the students who have worked so hard on the show and know that the level of engagement serves as a testament to the outstanding attitudes our students have.”
Performance week begins on Tuesday, February 11, and will run until Friday, February 14.
