CHARITABLE solicitors are on song after smashing a fundraising target.
Oliver and Co, of Watergate Street, Chester, is nearing the end of its Hope House corporate challenge.
The firm was given £50 by HSBC and challenged to turn it into as much money as possible for Hope House.
The event started on September 1 and finishes on November 30.
Oliver and Co set a target of £1,500 and began fundraising with an office tuck shop and quiz night at the Cross Keys in Lower Bridge Street.
Dress down days, cake-bakes and breakfast deliveries also got colleagues dipping into their pockets, raising £800.
The company joined forces with Bollicini, Rufus Court, to host a night of fundraising at the end of last month.
The event included live music from local band Eskimo Spies.
An auction and raffle were well-supported by local businesses.
The evening raised more than £1,700, bringing Oliver and Co’s total to £2,500. Having smashed their initial target the team is on course to raise £3,000 by the end of the month.
Fundraiser Danielle Westwood said: “The evening was more successful than we could have ever imagined and we would like to personally thank all the local businesses who took part.”
