A NEWLY-QUALIFIED solicitor with a taste for diversity will be continuing his legal career at the law firm where he recently completed a two-year training contract.
Justin Whelan, pictured, who lives in Chester, joined GHP Legal – one of the largest law firms in North Wales with offices in Llangollen, Wrexham and Oswestry – in 2008 after graduating from Chester College of Law, where he gained a distinction in the Legal Practice Certificate. He will be working in the firm’s civil litigation department.
Prior to deciding to retrain in law, Justin worked as an English language teacher in Greece, Denmark and Japan after gaining a degree in history at University of Wales, Lampeter and going on to do a postgraduate diploma in European Studies at the University of Lancaster.
He later travelled extensively in America and Israel and worked as a recruitment consultant for teachers in London and as a property developer in France.
Originally from Liverpool, Justin is a keen walker who enjoys history and playing football.
