Summer is not going quietly and none of us are complaining.

Met Office forecasters are predicting a fine few days of weather across Cheshire West to begin the week.

Promises of unbroken sunshine and highs of 26 degrees means the sun cream should not be back in the cupboard just yet.

The best days for getting out and about look like Tuesday and Wednesday (September 13-14).

So if there has been a trip you have putting off all summer, this could be the time to do it.

Unfortunately temperatures are expected to drop off slightly towards the weekend, where we also might see some rain.

The Met Office forecast states: "Monday will be dry in the morning, but much cloudier than Sunday with some hazy sunshine.

"It will be windy, especially along high ground where there will be thick cloud, and perhaps rain later.

"Tuesday and Wednesday will be hot, with near unbroken sunshine for most. Increasingly cloudy Thursday with a threat of rain and less hot."
