To mark their one year anniversary since opening for business, alterations and tailoring centre The ZipYard has teamed up with Chester Aid to the Homeless (CATH) to encourage customers to donate an item of warm clothing for the homeless this winter.

The Lord Mayor of Chester Bob Rudd, visited The ZipYard in Frodsham Street, to lend his support and help kick off the campaign.

In return for their generosity, customers will be given a voucher for 10% off the cost of repairs or alterations to be used at The ZipYard Chester and entered into a prize draw to win two tickets to a Manchester City game.

Shama Perveen, director of The ZipYard Chester, says all the donations will be picked up by CATH who will make sure the clothes get to the people that need them. If an item of clothing a customer donates needs a minor repair, the ZipYard will carry out the work for free.

Drop your donations to The ZipYard Chester at 43 Frodsham Street, Chester, CH1 3JJ.
