The Wales Rally GB will make a triumphant return to Chester on Friday (October 28), but a fair few city centre roads will be affected by full or partial closures to make way for those roaring engines.
Rally cars taking part in the event will make an extended pit-stop in the city for a spectacular gathering at the Eastgate Clock – complete with street entertainment and commentators overseeing the proceedings – ahead of RallyFest at Cholmondeley Castle on Saturday (October 29).
Here's our handy guide to the road closures.
What will be closed and when?
Bridge Street from six metres north of Feathers Lane to Watergate Street from 10.30am to 10pm, and from Pepper Street to six metres north of Feathers Lane from 3pm to 10pm.
Watergate Street from Bridge Street to Nicholas Street from 10.30am to 10pm.
Eastgate Street from St Werburgh Street to Northgate Street from 10.30am to 11.59pm, and from St Werburgh Street to Foregate Street from 1pm to 11.59pm.
Northgate Street from Eastgate Street to St Werburgh Street from 10.30am to 11.59pm, and from Princes Street to St Werburgh Street from 1pm to 11.59pm.
St Werburgh Street from Northgate Street to Eastgate Street from 1pm to 11.59pm.
Foregate Street from Eastgate Street to St John Street from 1pm to 11.59pm.
St John Street from Foregate Street to Little St John Street from 1pm to 11.59pm.
What about parking?
It's worth bearing in mind that parking will be suspended on a few city centre streets.
So motorists will not be able to park on St Werburgh Street from 10am to 11.59pm; on Eastgate Street between its St Werburgh Street and Foregate Street junctions from 10am to 11.59pm; and on Bridge Street between its junction with Pepper Street to six metres north of Feathers Lane from 12pm to 10pm.
The council say that pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained at all times.
