THERE is always a fashion focus at Chester Racecourse for each fixture, but even more so when there is over £2,000 at stake.
This Friday is Ladies and Gents Evening at Chester Racecourse and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet will be searching the course for the Best Dressed Ladies and Gents, which was won last year by Aimee Connor and Paul Callaghan.
Chester Racecourse sponsorship manager Melanie Simm said: “We are looking for a couple who define contemporary British style. They need to be fashion leaders rather than followers, it is not about being ridiculously good-looking, or colour co-ordinating your outfits, it is about having your own style and being confident about it.
“The prizes are fantastic this year and we will be inviting the couple back to do a photo shoot for next year's advertising campaign.
“There is always an eclectic mix of racegoers at Chester Racecourse and we very much look forward to working with the Cheshire Oaks style team to find the Best Dressed Couple 2012.”
Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet have some fantastic prizes to win including: First prize - £1,000 to spend at Cheshire Oaks designer outlet; second prize - £500 worth of leather goods from Osprey London.
There are tickets still available for Ladies and Gents Evening on Friday. They start from £8 and are available from the racecourse box office.
On Saturday at Chester Racecourse, Gigapixel Fancam will take the first-ever Chester Races Fancam, the world’s highest resolution 360-degree interactive image. All the action from the day will be captured including the race day crowd.
The 20 thousand megapixel interactive image enables racegoers to find themselves and their friends, tagging, sharing and re-living the experience via Facebook and Twitter.
