Chester Race Company will donate over 1,000 hours of staff expertise throughout the year to aid local charities with much needed skills and manpower.
Working in partnership with Chester Voluntary Action, over 12 charities today pitched their requirements to 125 race company employees, all looking for skills from marketing and social media to man power and event support.
The charities presented in The Pavilion at the Racecourse and included; The Hospice of the Good Shepherd, Cheshire Young Carers, Deafness Support Network, The Bren Project, Chester Women’s Aid, Chapter, Save the Family, Retreat House, B.I.R.D, Cheshire Wildlife Trust, Homestart and Vision Support.
Over the course of the next eight months, employees will go on day release to contribute back into the local community. It is hoped that as well as proving much needed skills and support to charity, the experience will be both rewarding and fulfilling to employees.
Speaking of the partnership, Richard Thomas, Chief Executive of Chester Race Company said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Chester Voluntary Action, providing much needed skills and expertise to charities in our local area.
