GIRL golfers have met their heroine.

Youngsters from The Queen’s Lower School, in Chester, met golf professional Paula Creamer at the Ricoh Women’s British Open in Hoylake.

Tickets for the event and a day of activities was organised by the school, working in partnership with The First Tee Golf Charity.

The girls also visited the media centre and the BBC studio where they sat in on World Number One ranked PLGA professional Yani Tseng’s official press conference.

Headmistress Felicity Taylor said: “It was an amazing and inspirational experience for the girls and they loved every minute of it.”
