She also thanked the Carerstrust4all choir, a regular client group at the Meeting House, who sang at the start of the event and helped to get the celebration under way.

The Quaker Meeting House now offers a newly refurbished kitchen/refreshments area and toilet facilities including a new accessible toilet area. Improvements have also been made to the main corridors and stairs.

Warden/manager of Chester Quaker Meeting Jan Stocker said: “This vital facility is going to make a real difference to those who use it, as well as the wider Chester community. We are extremely grateful to WREN for providing funding as we would not have been able to go ahead without its support.”
