A MAN suffered superficial burns to his arm following a fire at his flat.
He was cooking in the kitchen at 5.46pm on Friday, May 15 when the blinds caught fire.
The resident, who lives in Wolves Avenue, Chester, smothered the flames with towels but in doing so injured his right forearm.
Fire crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.
