ANDREW Corbett of Chester has so far raised more than £250 for Parkinson’s UK after running the Virgin London Marathon.

Andrew, 47, completed the 26 mile challenge in three hours, 15 minutes, on the last day of Parkinson’s Awareness Week.

He joined 211 other runners to make up Parkinson’s UK’s biggest ever marathon team.

Andrew, said: “I’m thrilled to have been a part of the Parkinson’s UK team. It was an amazing experience and the support of the crowds was brilliant. Hopefully we will smash our fundraising target this year.”

Other runners included actor Ben Hull (ex-Hollyoaks) and Clare Jones, daughter-in-law of Sir David Jones, former chairman of JJB Sports, who has Parkinson’s.

The team aims to raise over £260,000. Parkinson’s UK is totally dependent on donations and all money raised will go towards helping to find a cure and improving life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.
