A Chester man has pleaded not guilty to a number of sexual offences.

Nicholas Crawshaw, 22, of West Street, Hoole, appeared at Chester Crown Court to enter the pleas on August 26.

He is charged with six counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault relating to two victims.

It is alleged they took place at properties in the Chester area on June 7 and June 14.

Crawshaw appeared by video link from HMP Altcourse.

A provisional trial date has been set for November 16 and it is expected to run into a second week.

The 22-year-old is next due at Chester Crown Court on October 20 for a case management hearing.
