Chester Lions Club has given a generous donation to support a service that helps carers in the Chester area and beyond.
President of Chester Lions Club Brian Goodall presented a cheque for £5,000 to Carers Trust 4all registered care manager Helen Esslemont and Angela Connally and Charmaine Holland.
The money will be used for the Crossroads Care service, which provides much-needed support to some of the 320 carers who are looking after people affected by dementia.
The fund enables carers, many of whom may work, to have some time away from caring.
