SIR John Deane, which is nationally-recognised as a Beacon college saw a rise in the number of top grades – with over a quarter of all exam results at A or A star.

Andrew Jones, Principal of Sir John Deane’s College, said: “I am delighted to be able to say that once again our students are celebrating an excellent set of results.

“It has been rewarding to see so many smiling faces around College today, especially as there is significant pressure to achieve good results with such fierce competition for university places.

“The results again reflect the hard work and dedication of our students, the care of parents and the high quality guidance and teaching of SJD staff.”
