nONE of Chester’s top private schools is celebrating another successful set of A-level exam results.

Sixth formers at Abbey Gate College, Saighton Grange, near Chester, once again achieved a 100% pass rate, with all students achieving grades between A* and D.

An impressive 7% of all examinations were awarded the new A* grade, with 55% of the qualifications awarded grades A* to B.

Hard-working scholars William Hockedy, Hayley Oakes and Emily Dyer all achieved A* and A grades.

A school spokesman said: “With great pressure on university places this year, the college is delighted that almost all of the students achieved their chosen university courses.”

Headmistress Lynne Horner commended all the students on their hard work and achievements, she also praised the commitment of the staff who had helped the students fulfil their potential.
