DAN Bickerton from Chester was among 150 lucky competition winners that attended an exclusive FA Tesco Skills coaching session with England stars Frank Lampard and Kelly Smith at the England team’s official training base, The Grove.

As well as having a once in a lifetime opportunity to practice his football skills with Lampard and Smith, Dan also experienced a day in the life of an England star by enjoying a tour of the England team bus, having his picture taken with both players and even taking part in his very own post-match TV interview.

The 150 boys and girls aged 5-11 where chosen from thousands of children that either took part in the FA Tesco Skills Roadshow last August or had purchased one of the mini skills footballs in Tesco stores and entered the competition on the FA Tesco Skills Programme website, TheFA.com/Skills.

England and Chelsea star Frank Lampard said: “It has been truly amazing today to see so many young boys and girls of all abilities practising their football techniques with the FA Tesco Skills coaches. The FA and Tesco have done a fantastic job in providing such an exciting and fun opportunity for young children to develop their football skills.”

The FA Tesco Skills Programme was launched in the summer of 2007 with the aim of helping children aged 5-11 get active through specialist youth football coaching.
