SUCCESS at Chester’s King’s School keeps adding up, with six students having taken part in the Intermediate Mathematical Olympiad.

The event, run by the UK Mathematics Trust, saw the top 1,600 pupils nationally from the Maths Challenge, held in schools earlier this year, take part.

Of the participants, only the top 25% receive certificates of merit, and five of the King’s School pupils were able to achieve this.

Eleanor Barnard, 14, Jeremy Telford, 14, Sean Telford, 14, Matthew Temple, 14, and Luke Howarth, 16, all of Chester, were awarded the honours. Matthew Hill, 15, of Chester, was awarded a certificate of participation.
