The Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Chester is asking supporters to ‘send a kiss to someone they miss’ by posting a red lipstick selfie on their social media sites.

The nationwide campaign aims to help local hospices raise vital income to ensure they can continue to support patients facing life-limiting illnesses and support their loved ones at a difficult and emotional time.

Hospice care is something that may affect all of us at some point in our lives and the hospice is there to provide the community with both in-patient and day therapy care and support.

The hospice relies on the generosity of the public and needs to raise more than £7,000 a day to keep its services open.

Helen Booth, marketing and communications manager, said: “We are incredibly thankful to all our supporters.

“Puckering up and sending a kiss to somebody you miss is a great way for people to get involved, remember a loved one and donate.”

To get involved you can tag #KissMay or send the words KISS29 £2 to 70070 to donate. Follow the Hospice of the Good Shepherd on twitter @GS_Hospice and Facebook HospiceGS.
