A CHESTER high school invited primary school students to a celebration of different religions through dance.

Blacon High School played host to a group of pupils from St Theresa’s, Highfield and JH Godwin primary schools.

As well as offering children of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to work together and to learn about the meaning behind a range of different faiths, the event enabled high school staff and upper school students to deliver specific dance and drama workshops to children aged six upwards.

Ella Brett, headteacher at Blacon High, said: “The multi faith festival was a resounding success, with students, staff, parents and community members working together to recognise and celebrate different faiths and cultures.

“The day culminated in a dance and drama performance in the school hall and there was a real sense of achievement and pride from the children involved.”

Pictures from the multi-faith event will appear in the Main edition of this Friday’s Chronicle.
