TWO friends have taken Chester a step closer to a healthier future by opening a frozen yogurt cafe bar.
Catherine Smith and Mandy Fisher have officially opened Yogart on Northgate Street, which serves fat-free frozen yogurt in a variety of yogurt flavours with a selection of toppings.
It also sells crepes with toppings, as well as smoothies, yogshakes, hot and cold drinks and locally sourced handmade cakes.
Customers can choose a small, medium or large yogurt in one of the chosen flavours including tangy natural, mango and caramel, and toppings include fresh fruit, nuts, granola, chocolate, fudge, brownies, popping candy and more.
The shop will also be an outlet for advertising local art, and boasts a funky, vibrant interior.
Catherine said: “We want to bring a colourful new brand to Chester and will be using local suppliers whenever possible.
“We are keen to build strong links with local retailers and the art community. In line with our ethical policy we are only using packaging that is compostable or recyclable.”
