CHILDREN from a Chester drama school were the stars of the show at a fabulous charity fashion event.

Little Thespians Drama School, based in Chester, were invited to perform at the event, which was in aid of Claire House Children’s Hospice, at the Metquarter in Liverpool.

The youngsters sang a variety of songs, including 12-year-old Connor McGovern-Scott of Christleton, who closed the show by singing and playing guitar to a very moving version of Eric Clapton’s classic, Tears In Heaven.

Ravanne Cottier, principal of Little Thespians Drama Schools, said: “It was a real honour to be asked to open such a wonderful charity event. The children were all very excited about showcasing their love of music in order to help such a fantastic charity.”

The event is a major fundraiser for the charity Women in Touch With Claire House. The charity is run by the wives of former Liverpool players John Barnes, Jan Molby and Michael Thomas.

Claire House is also supported by footballer Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen.
