CHESTER City Council is offering a £100 grant towards the cost of loft insulation and cavity wall insulation and a £200 grant if residents need both.
The offer is available to everyone who lives within the Chester district.
Residents over 70 are eligible for free insulation and people in receipt of a benefit could also qualify for free insulation and in some cases for a new central heating system.
The city council is working with a number of installers who are offering competitive rates for insulation in addition to the £100 grant.
This could mean the cost per job could be as little as £99 to be paid on a standard sized house.
