A Chester chippy has been serving lunch to the homeless.

Adam’s Fish and Chips Café, on Lower Bridge Street, provided clients of Chester Aid to the Homeless (CATH) day centre with a two-course meal.

Previously known as Davies’ Chippy, general manager Rohib Shaf and staff served up a helping of fish, chips and peas, plus a dessert and drinks.

The café has been under new management for three months and has a newly-furnished seating area upstairs.

CATH operations manager Rob Whittall said: “We are always overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of the community of Chester. Yet again it’s a glimpse of Chester’s friendly face.”
