A CHESTER family who breed chihuahua dogs are to be featured on an ITV documentary.

Elena Katerova and her parents, of Heath Road, Upton, have been breeding the animals for years, and now their furry friends are about to become TV stars in their own right for a one off documentary.

Super Tiny Animals is due to hit screens during the first week of October, and investigates the current demand for mini-pets.

Tiny cows, rabbits, pigs and even goats will be featured on the show, and of course - chihuahuas.

Elena, 25, who is training to be a barrister, spent a morning being interviewed for the show with her minute four 12 week old pets:

“My family have been breeding the chihuahuas for years and are quite known for it, so I think ITV just heard about us through word of mouth,” she said.

“The filming went really well.”
