A group of discerning Chester ladies came together to organise a shopping and lifestyle evening to raise funds for a local charity.

Chester Birds was set up to support the BIRD (Brain, Injury, Rehabilitation and Development) charity by organising social events and this special evening was held at Eccleston Village Hall.

They raised £1,613 for the charity on the night and it will now become a regular event in the calendar.

Shopping and Lifestyle Evening organised by Chester BIRDS

Chester Birds was set up by Lucy Stuchbury who lives in Eccleston where the BIRD charity is based.

She said: “I just wanted to support my local charity by doing something a little different. All our events usually include a social gathering over lunch or dinner or an exclusive shopping evening. We have worked with many local businesses including Barlounge, 1539, Oddfellows, The Botanist, Duttons and Commonhall.

“Our shopping events include Molton Brown, Clarins at Debenhams and Outdoor and Country store.”
