A GOLF day raised £1,000 for two different charities.

The Chester and Wrexham branch of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) held the event to raise funds for Hope House Hospice and SCOPE.

At a networking meeting at the Grosvenor Arms in Pulford, FSB vice chairman James Dick presented representatives from both charities with £400 and £600 respectively.

After the presentations, the meeting, which was entitled How Not To Wreck Your Business, heard several guest speakers from local businesses give talks on various topics of interest in the workplace.

Useful tips were shared by representatives from Wirral based LBW Accountants, Lloyds TSB and Jolliffe and Co.

FSB committee member Peter Moore-Dutton said: “It was a very interesting and informative evening.”
