Most people are keen to wrap up warm for winter but not Mike Williams of B&Q in Chester.

Instead, he decided to go topless and just wear shorts and trainers. However, he was doing it all for a good cause.

Mike staged a sponsored walk from B&Q in Chester to B&Q in Queensferry in aid of the Miles of Smiles Chester Appeal and his scantily clad effort raised £327 for the charity.

Mike chose the cause because it is a small local charity needing funds to send terminally ill, sick and disabled children to Disneyland Paris.

Chair of the charity Sue Thomas said: “What a brave man on that very cold day to put himself out to do this wonderful thing for charity.

“Miles of Smiles are doing their next trip in May 2016 and every penny we raise will go towards making sure that the children have a fabulous few days.”
