STAFF at Marks and Spencer in Chester had to be evacuated at lunch time after smoke inside the city centre building set off one of the fire alarms.
Smoke from a light fitting inside a refrigerator unit triggered the alarm at 12.23pm today (Friday, May 4).
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman confirmed there was no fire and no injuries as a result of the incident at the Foregate Street store.
