A kitchen company will next week open a larger flagship store just yards from its current outlet on Chester’s Greyhound Retail Park.

Fast growing retail chain Wren Kitchens will launch the 12,750sq ft showroom on Friday April 15 – just a few doors along from its existing Greyhound Park Road base which will close the day before.

Work is ongoing to put the finishing touches to an existing unit which has undergone a conversion over several months.

'Wider selection'

Relocation to a larger unit will allow the retailer to accommodate more customers and display a wider selection of kitchens.

Wren was founded in 2009 and says it is the country’s ‘fastest growing kitchen retailer and manufacturer'.

Back in 2010, the Chester showroom was only the fifth showroom in the entire company, which now has 53 outlets nationwide.

A spokeswoman said: “Wren is a family-run business with over 35 years’ experience in the kitchen market and we pride ourselves on the quality of our products. As the company continues to grow, this is a fantastic opportunity to expand the Wren kitchen range and accommodate more customers, whilst continuing to provide excellent quality British products.”

Wren kitchen units are delivered to customers fully assembled, with high end design features such as soft-closing doors and drawers as standard. Professional fitting is available for an extra charge.

Another feature of Wren stores is that competitors’ cabinets are displayed in all showrooms to allow comparisons on quality and price with rival firms. These are also ‘estimator bays’ where customers can calculate the approximate cost of their Wren kitchen.

The Chester showroom is open seven days a week: 9am-8pm Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm on Saturdays and 11am-5pm on Sundays. The showroom is open from 10.30-11am on Sundays for viewings only.
