New Chester bar Linenhall has had a facelift.

The former Fat Cat Cafe Bar in Watergate Street was only taken over by businessman Jamie Kimpton back in May, and since then has become a popular spot for foodies.

But Jamie was conscious that the restaurant could benefit from some changes to the interior and managed to transform the decor in just a week.

A special launch party was held for customers who were treated to a three-course dinner that included an assiette of piccolo red peppers, feta, olive and red onion marmalade, served on bed of deep-fried wild rocket with a yellow pepper coulis, new season roasted shoulder of lamb, followed by desserts of fresh strawberries served on chantilly cream and blueberry grunt pavlova with a bitter chocolate and crushed hazelnut sauce.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the show of support from local Chester residents and businesses,” said Jamie.

“We opened our doors within days of signing our lease back in May and were conscious there were changes to the interior that needed to be made quickly.

“After a successful summer and after building our customer base we felt confident in investing in the future of the business, and managed to turn around a real transformation to the interior in just under a week.”

General manager Craig Phillips added: “It was a fantastic evening.

“The team worked really tirelessly to ensure that everyone had a great night and we’re now looking forward to showcasing the new look Linenhall and new menus to our customers.”
