CHESTER artist Louisa Boyd is exhibiting new mixed media pieces and book art at Telford’s Warehouse until June.

The Queen’s School art technician presents Heights of Aspiration, which features imagery of birds in their natural surroundings.

A selection of 2D and 3D pieces on display includes etchings, paper collages, paper relief work, paintings and artist’s book sculptures.

Louisa studied embroidery at Manchester Metropolitan University and showed a series of artists’ books relating to landscape as her final pieces. In 2001 she won The Paperchase Future of Design Award and received a high commendation from the judges of the New Designer of the Year at the New Designers Show.

This led to two solo shows in London and Manchester.

Alongside her work as a professional artist, Louisa tutors adults in art across the county.
