HAVE you ever stood in front of your wardrobe, desperately searching for the right outfit to wear to a particular event, and not getting anywhere?

It’s likely that this is something most women have experienced at some point in their lives, and 30 year-old Hannah Buckley, from Waverton, is no exception.

Three years ago, frustrated at not being able to find the appropriate attire to wear to the V Festival, Hannah came up with the idea of creating a website that fashionistas could visit to get ideas for outfits from the latest high street fashions, read online fashion blogs and rate different outfits.

And so, with the help of business funding company Ortegra, who help budding entrepreneurs set up businesses online, MissHighStreet.com was born.

Juggling a career as a management accountant, Hannah developed the site in her free time and forged relationships with high street retailers.

Earlier this year, she took the plunge to commit solely to the venture, using her skills to help her along the way, and is now getting the seal of approval from high street fashion addicts.

“When I was looking for an outfit for the V Festival it just struck me that there should be a website that showed all outfits together for all the latest high street stuff sorted by social occasion,” says Hannah.

“Like specific outfits from a different angle that give people ideas because not everyone knows how to put things together.”

And her recent nomination for a Network She Award, which recognises females in businesses, proves she’s definitely on the right track.

“One of the most encouraging things since I started has been getting thousands of followers on Facebook and Twitter in such a short space of time,” she says.

“We’re constantly getting great feedback and now it’s just a case of continuing to build on that.

“The response has made me more sure than ever that there is a need for a website like this.”
