England fans all over Chester are gearing up for the start of the World Cup by decorating their houses with St George's cross.

Flags, pennants and bunting adorn houses as householders prepare to show their support for the England team in Brazil.

Ashley Williams, who turns 20 the day before the team's first match with Italy on Saturday, June 14, predicts a 1-1 draw.

A householder on Oak Road in Lache, whose house is adorned with flags on the fences and on poles, described it as 'a work in progress'.

Other countries' flags are also making an appearance.  Lottie Richards from The University of Chester has decorated her car with the Belgium flag.
