CHESHIRE businesswoman Hazel Ware has won a national award after turning a traditional home into a swanky pad fit for the likes of Premier League footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
Hazel, of Tarporley, is a winner in the best single redevelopment category of the Daily Mail Property Awards.
Her brief for the Champneys apartment in Vale Royal Abbey, Whitegate, Northwich, was that it should be “ideal for a 23-year-old footballer who likes to play golf and entertain or relax”.
And that's just what she has achieved with the development, which is in an ideal location to catch the eye of the North West's millionaire footballers and their WAGs.
The apartment, which occupies what was the dining room of a former stately home, was transformed from a conventional three-bedroom property into a designer penthouse, complete with a stainless steel and glass staircase, ultra-modern kitchen and internal glass wall.
“This project was by far the most contemporary we have done,” said Hazel, who runs Brooklowe International Management Consulting in Chester.
“In effect, we turned a dowdy, traditional apartment into a hi-tech, modern dream pad.
“It's a great achievement to get this recognition from the Daily Mail Property Awards.”
