Cheshire West and Chester residents are likely to have a foggy start to their weekend.

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for a ten-hour period between 1am until 11am on Saturday.

A spokesman for the Met Office said the patchy fog may mean visibility falls below 100 metres in places, but it will lift later in the morning.

The fog is thought to be caused by a ridge of high pressure across much of the UK.

Drivers are advised there may be difficult driving conditions.
