Cheshire West and Chester Council teamed up with key partners to deliver information to the community about responsible dog ownership.
The council’s community safety wardens, localities team and the local ward councillors, along with PCSOs and the RSPB were on hand to provide free information and advice to educate dog owners on the principles of sustainable and responsible dog ownership along the Quayside, outside the Harp Inn and the Greenway, Little Neston.
The council and partners provided their top tips to become a good dog owner:
Always clean up after your dog – bag it and bin it
Don’t let your dog stray, and become a nuisance when off their leash
Identify your dog with a collar, tag and microchip
Cllr Louise Gittins, Cabinet member for communities and wellbeing, said: “It was great to see everyone coming together to deliver an event that provided important information about being a responsible dog owner and encouraged people to get out and about to enjoy the beautiful open spaces that we have throughout the borough – whether that be on foot or as a horse rider or cyclist.”
