CHESHIRE West and Chester Council is encouraging people to recycle their waste.

As part of National Recycling Week which runs from June 20-26, residents are being reminded to take note of what they throw away, wherever they are – at home, at work or out and about.

And encouragingly, the council is achieving a higher proportion of recycling than ever before, with many people recycling even more at home.

Nationally, three-quarters of people now claim they are recycling as a way of life but there are lots of easy ways to do it.

As well as using your kerbside collection service, you can take recyclable items to household waste recycling centre and recycling banks.

And you could try to recycle something else this Recycle Week, such as a small electrical item, plastic bottles or just an extra piece of junk mail.
