CHESHIRE West and Chester Council, in partnership with England Netball, are expanding its Step Back 2 Netball scheme by adding a weekly session at Malpas Sports Centre on a Monday night.

The sessions are aimed at adult women who would like to return to netball – a sport that they probably last played while they were at school.

The training sessions are led by qualified coaches and have an emphasis on fun and enjoyment.

The sessions start on Monday, September 13 from 8-10pm and continue weekly in blocks of six or seven sessions. Cost is £12 or £14 for a block of six or seven sessions.

Cheshire West and Chester Council in partnership with Badminton England and the Cheshire County Sports Club in Upton are also launching a Back 2 Badminton scheme also starting on Monday, September 13.

There will be two weekly sessions on a Monday – 5-6pm and 6-7pm. Interested participants will need to book in advance and pre-pay to confirm their place on the course. Cost is £18 or £21 for a block of six or seven sessions.

There will be a launch event on Saturday, September 4 from 10am-4pm in front of Chester Town Hall where a temporary badminton court will be created and interested participants will be able to take part in a variety of activities.

Further details regarding the Back 2 Badminton sessions will also be available as well as information on local clubs and other recreational badminton opportunities.
