A SERVICE designed to ensure that West Cheshire residents can feel safe and secure in their own homes by offering 24-hour assistance is now available.

Lifeline Services, for those who might benefit from the reassurance provided by a 24-hour emergency alarm link, is available to residents of all ages who would like to feel safer and more independent in their own home.

Once the alarm is activated, dedicated staff will instantly know your name, address and health details, and will be able to raise the relevant help, including notifying friends, relatives, neighbours and doctors, alongside emergency services where necessary.

Executive member for prosperity, Councillor Herbert Manley, said: “This service could be of great benefit to a number of West Cheshire residents including older, infirm or disabled people, those who live alone, or those at risk from domestic violence.

“Providing personal aid at the touch of a button, the alarm system links straight through to dedicated staff who will be able to help in whatever way necessary – all you need is an outgoing phone line.

“This is another example of our housing team continuing to broaden the services that we provide and I would encourage anyone who may have concerns about living independently within their own home to contact us and see if Lifeline Services may benefit you.”
