A LOCAL mental health trust (CWP) is calling on members of the public to show their support on national Carers’ Rights Day on Friday, December 3.

Every year, more than two million people become carers for the first time and Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP), which provides mental health, learning disability, and drug and alcohol services to the people of Cheshire and Wirral, is hoping to raise awareness of this important day.

Avril Devaney, CWP’s director of nursing, therapies and patient partnerships, said: “National Carers’ Rights Day is all about supporting carers and making sure that they get the help they are entitled to. CWP is committed to supporting carers and appreciate and value the contribution they make."

If you would like to show your support by becoming a Trust member, contact our membership team on 01244 397411, e-mail membership@cwp.nhs.uk or visit the website at www.cwp.nhs.uk – where a simple application form can be completed online.
