STUDENTS from across Cheshire are being invited to attend an open night at Sir John Deane’s College.

The College, which is Cheshire’s biggest sixth form establishment, is throwing open its doors to prospective students on Thursday, October 15.

Youngsters from across the whole county currently attend Sir John Deane’s College because it gives an unrivalled choice of over 40 A Level subjects.

Thursday’s open night is being held especially for students who are not from the College’s local partner high schools.

The College, which was founded in 1557, is undergoing a £28million development giving students stunning new facilities set within its beautiful campus.

Andrew Jones, Principal of SJD, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming students who will enjoy the benefits of our new buildings and resources.

“Sir John Deane’s College already enjoys a fine reputation for high quality education and strong academic standards and the new development will give students a state-of-the-art working environment.”

The College, in Monarch Drive, Northwich, is also classed as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and has Beacon college status. This year it achieved another record set of A Level results in August.

The open evening is on Thursday, October 15, from 5.30pm to 9pm and is open to students who are considering studying at SJD but who do not attend one of its Partner High Schools.
