A 22-year-old woman has died after taking suspected MDMA at a nightclub in Crewe.
Police believe she took the drug at The Box but suffered an adverse reaction which saw her rushed to Leighton Hospital, where she died during the early hours of Sunday morning (June 5).
An has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy and Cheshire Constabulary has advised clubbers who may have taken MDMA at The Box to seek medical attention as soon as possible.
DCS Serena Kennedy said: "Sadly, it is unlikely that the victim was the only person to have bought and taken drugs at this location last night.
"We would urge anybody who may have taken the drug to seek urgent medical attention.
"This is a tragic situation and my thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim."
