A POLICE inspector is appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man exposed himself to a boy in Tarporley public toilets on Wednesday (April 1).
The boy, a secondary school pupil, entered the public toilets near to the Co-op on High Street, Tarporley, about 4pm on Wednesday.
The man followed him in and exposed himself to the boy.
Inspector Phil Hodgson, of the Western Rural Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “The boy was very shocked by the incident but he has managed to give a very good description of the man so we are encouraged there will be a successful outcome to the case.
“We are looking at CCTV footage from the area at the time of the incident and are in the process of compiling an e-fit.
“I would stress that incidents such as this are very rare.
“In my four years covering the Tarporley area I have not encountered an incident like this.
“The man was sighted in the area prior to the incident and we reissue our appeal for any witnesses who saw the man before or after the incident to come forward.”
The man is described as white, aged in his 40s, about 5’9’’ tall with brown or black hair receding at the front and cut short at the sides. He was clean shaven and had no sideburns.
The boy described him as having odd-looking eyebrows and a big belly.
He wore a navy blue or green anorak-type padded jacket, a navy blue top and jeans.
Following the incident the boy ran out of the toilets back on to High Street.
The man was seen in the area of the Co-op on High Street, Tarporley, prior to the attack.
