CHESHIRE Constabulary has issued an appeal to help find a Malpas woman who went missing on Monday.

Mary Friend, 52, was last seen at about 7.45am in the Malpas area and was reported missing the same day.

Mary is white, 5ft 5in, and of stocky build. She has short straight jaw-length brown hair, cut in a bob style and wears glasses with rectangular lenses.

When last seen on Monday, she was wearing either a white short-sleeved shirt or polo shirt and black or navy blue trousers. Mary usually carries a beige straw shopping bag with the words ‘Natural Green’ printed on the side.

Mary was driving a black Peugeot 307 car when last seen.

DCI Andy Southcott said: "We are appealing for Mary to please make contact with friends, family or the Police as we are all very concerned for you.

"We also further appeal to the public to get in touch with us if they think they may have seen Mary or a woman matching that description, since Monday morning.

"In particular, any sightings of Mary in the vicinity of the Tesco store in Whitchurch during the morning of Monday July 27, or at any point in the last few days."
