The moment two grown men were filmed angrily confronting each other in a Cheshire Oaks play area has sparked outrage.

Children looked on as two unknown men grappled and scuffled on the hopscotch play area while witnesses told them to “grow up”.

Thousands of you have watched the shocking video clip since the story appeared on The Chronicle’s website on Monday (February 1).

And you were quick to share your disgust with the men’s behaviour via our Facebook page.

Alex Wozencraft wrote: “This is disgusting. No concern for the children around them or the way their behaviour could be influencing them. They should both be ashamed! Who starts a fight in a children’s playground?”

Steph X Cookson added: “Why weren’t they arrested for affray or something? Absolutely disgusting behaviour in front of children. Should be ashamed.”

'Totally inappropriate, disgusting behavior'

Yvonne Linnane described the footage as “absolutely shocking”, adding: “Parents take kids there to let off steam in a safe environment. They should not have to see grown men behaving this way. Shameful!”

Cathy Chaloner was shocked to see such behaviour at a children’s playground.

She told us: “Totally inappropriate, disgusting behaviour. Hope they are ashamed when they watch this back.”

Kaz Owen said: “As parents, aren’t they meant to teach their children right from wrong? They need to take a good look in the mirror.”

Rebecca Williams concluded: “I think their children are more mature then they are!”

Dozens more expressed their disgust at the footage. It was captured by shopper Kudzi Marshal Watadza while out shopping at the retail centre, in Ellesmere Port, with his partner and young son on Saturday.
