Bank holiday traffic on the M53 near Cheshire Oaks has eased after a crash

The accident northbound near junction 10 had caused queues to form at 11.45am on Tuesday (March 28).

Tailbacks stretched back to the motorway's exchange with the M56 as emergency services dealt with the incident.

No injuries have been reported.

Easter Monday promised to be a busy day at the outlet village in Ellesmere Port with shoppers out hunting for bargains.

Cheshire Police had advised drivers to plan ahead because of the delays, but traffic and travel site Inrix confirmed the congestion has now cleared.
