Shoppers hoping to bag a bargain at Cheshire Oaks in Ellesmere Port are blocking up the road network for a fourth day.

Cheshire Police says the most commonly used turn-off at junction 10 on the M53 northbound is busy, with delays expected.

North West Motorway Police are suggesting motorists continue onto junction nine if the exit slip road at junction 10 is blocked.

In addition, the motorway unit is advising drivers arriving from a Manchester direction to leave the M56 northbound at junction 14, near Elton , then take the A5117 into Ellesmere Port.

Shoppers hit similar queues as they tried to scour the designer sales for the best deals on Boxing Day and on December 28 and 29.

This may not be the last day of congestion with offers in place at outlets into the new year while stocks last.
